the traditional "basler Fasnacht" takes place every year, between mid february and mid march. the town stands on its head and offers all kinds of
photo opportunities for hobbyists and amateurs, in almost any weather. all
photographers can go trigger crazy until the film goes to peaces or the chip
goes up in smoke; beginning with the "morgestraich"
on monday 0400 hours spanning across the
"cortège" on monday afternoon, the "kinderfasnacht" and the various "guggekonzärt" on tuesday,
the "cortège" on wednesday to the "ändstreich" in the small hours of thursday morning. on this website you will find my pictures from various
years, beginning in 1996. all the images are completely untreated and uncropped. they have only been adjusted in size to
